The sport-tuned suspension paired with the larger 20-inch wheels offers a responsive and direct application of power generated by the engine. Under the hood, Ford packs in a 3.0-liter V6 engine with the ST trim, which can push out an enhanced 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft giving an excitingly fast acceleration. The ST trim also brings in additional features beyond the sports-tuned systems, such as an auto-dimming rearview mirror, trim-unique front seating, a sleek digital instrument panel, and a park assist system that can automatically parallel and perpendicular park on activation. 

The highest trim model offered with this SUV is the Platinum trim, which takes in the previous trim features to further establish more comfort and convenience with the Explorer. The two-pane sunroof is power operated and gives a scenic experience for passengers as you are driving. The seats receive a premium leather upholstery, that meshes well with the design accents unique to the Platinum trim level. On the dashboard, Ford also brings in a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with the infotainment system, that is easy to operate and comes with a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.
